North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences presents research at the 25th International Conference of Young Scientists and Graduates
Dr. Amir Rahmanian, a member of the faculty at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, announced that a paper from the university’s researchers titled “Cold Atmospheric Plasma and Glioblastoma: The Therapeutic Potential of Cold Atmospheric Plasma in Combating Malignant Brain Tumors” has been accepted for presentation at the 25th International Scientific-Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Students, and Graduates. The conference took place from October 23–25, 2025, in Neryungri, Russia.
Dr. Amir Rahmanian, a member of the faculty at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, announced that a paper from the university’s researchers titled “Cold Atmospheric Plasma and Glioblastoma: The Therapeutic Potential of Cold Atmospheric Plasma in Combating Malignant Brain Tumors” has been accepted for presentation at the 25th International Scientific-Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Students, and Graduates. The conference took place from October 23–25, 2025, in Neryungri, Russia.
In an interview with the Public Relations unit of the Research and Technology Deputy, Dr. Rahmanian noted that the paper forms part of a broader research project whose results have been presented across various sections and have received positive feedback.
He added that another component of this research, recently accepted and presented under the title “A Comparative Study of the Effects of Plasma-Activated Environment (PAM) on Human Glioblastoma Cells and Fibroblasts: A Novel Approach to Targeted Tumor Therapy,” at the 12th Iranian Conference on Plasma Engineering and Physics, attracted favorable reviews from judges and has been recognized as one of the country’s outstanding multidisciplinary studies.
It is noteworthy that this research project is an inter-university collaboration involving Dr. Amir Rahmanian and Dr. Fatemeh Aroujealiyan of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Kherashadi-Zadeh and Dr. Reza Falah of Birjand University, and Mrs. Elham Sadat Mousavi, a researcher at Shahid Beheshti University.
