According to Webda, the closing ceremony of the Research Week Exhibition and the Festival Honoring Outstanding Researchers and Innovators of North Khorasan Province was held Wednesday, 12 Azar, with the presence of Governor Engineer Nouri, Dr. Hashemi, President of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS), and a group of managers and officials. During the event, top researchers and technologists in various categories were recognized.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology, the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database publishes a bimonthly list of highly cited researchers based on a ten-year evaluation period. Researchers in each field are assessed according to the number of citations their publications have received in the Web of Science database. Those who rank within the top one percent in terms of citation counts are introduced as Highly Cited Researchers. Accordingly, the primary criterion for inclusion in this list is the total number of citations received by a researcher’s scientific output.

Dr. Amir Rahmanian, a member of the faculty at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, announced that a paper from the university’s researchers titled “Cold Atmospheric Plasma and Glioblastoma: The Therapeutic Potential of Cold Atmospheric Plasma in Combating Malignant Brain Tumors” has been accepted for presentation at the 25th International Scientific-Practical Conference of Young Scientists, Students, and Graduates. The conference took place from October 23–25, 2025, in Neryungri, Russia.
