North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences Ranked Among the World’s Top 2,000 Universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings
According to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology, North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences has been included for the first time in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Dr. Omid Toupchian stated that, based on information published on the official Times Higher Education website, North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences is now among the universities evaluated in this global ranking system.
He added that the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious global university assessment systems, evaluating more than 2,000 institutions from 115 countries across five key indicators: teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income.
Dr. Toupchian emphasized that the university’s entry into the THE ranking is the result of the continuous efforts of the university’s faculty members, researchers, and staff. He also expressed appreciation to the Medical Information Management Unit for its dedicated follow-up on the ranking process, adding that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to improving educational quality, expanding impactful research, and strengthening international collaborations.
He further noted that inclusion in the Times Higher Education World Rankings aligns with the university’s strategic vision to enhance its scientific standing, strengthen research indicators, and advance toward becoming a third-generation, entrepreneurial university. This achievement not only elevates the university’s academic reputation at the national and international levels but also paves the way for expanding joint research collaborations with leading universities and scientific institutions worldwide.
