Three faculty members of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences have been ranked among the top 1% and 2% of scientists worldwide in the latest global Scopus ranking.

According to Dr. Omid Toupchian, Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology, Dr. Amir Amani (Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences) has been listed among the top 1% of scientists globally.

Furthermore, Dr. Fatemeh Oroojalian (Ph.D. in Nanobiotechnology) and Dr. Sonia Fathi (Ph.D. in Medical Nanotechnology) have been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.

This ranking is based on scientific indicators such as the number and quality of published articles, citation metrics, and research impact at the international level, and is compiled and published by the Scopus database.

The inclusion of the university’s faculty members in this list reflects the qualitative growth of research activities and the strengthening of the university’s scientific standing in international arenas.

Expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, Dr. Toupchian stated that this success signifies the academic maturity of the university and demonstrates the ability of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences to compete both nationally and globally.

He further expressed optimism that, through the strategic initiatives undertaken by the Office of Research and Technology, the university will continue to experience steady progress in both the quantity and quality of its research, ultimately enhancing its standing in future national and international rankings.
